Our Fiano Late Vintage is produced entirely from Fiano grapes from our San Vincenzo vineyards, which
are situated on slopes close to the sea. The location of the vineyard means that the grapes benefit from
optimal ripening conditions. The grapes enjoy direct sunlight from morning till dusk while the light sea
breezes keeps them dry and preserves then from fungal attacks even during the rainy periods.
The fruit usually ripens at the beginning of September but is left on the vine until late October. This
concentrates the sugars in the fruit creating a richer, stronger wine with an alcohol content of around
14.5%. Despite its strength it retains a remarkable freshness and fragrance. It should be served cool (but
not chilled) so as to enjoy the classy subtleties that head winemaker Raffaele Marino has managed to
impart to this superb wine. More than most, this wine manages to capture the essence of the beautiful
Cilento landscape from which it is born. It proves how a wine and its geographical origins are so
intimately connected. It conveys the mysteries, secrets, cultures and crafts of the Cilento, where the
laws of nature and the rising and setting of the sun and moon still govern this timeless place.
