Marino Winery and Olive Farm, established in the late 1970s thanks to the passion and vision of Lorenzo
Marino, lies in a landscape where Mother Nature has been particularly bounteous.
Gentle hills and slopes create the backdrop the Cilento Coast, one of the most attractive coastlines in
the Mediterranean. It is no accident that the area was once colonised by the ancient Greeks and today
forms part of the Cilento National Park.
The microclimate and soil composition have helped to create the ideal environment for wine and olive
cultivation. Today, the Marino Winery and Olive Farm covers about 75 acres. Almost half the land is used
for wine-growing while about 25 acres are used as olive groves. The remainder is used for assorted
crops.
The Marino Winery is among the most dynamic and forward-thinking wine growers in the Cilento region,
producing and bottling award-winning, quality wines exclusively from its own grapes, which include the
Fiano, Aglianico and Piedirossi grape varieties.
For over 30 years, the Marino Winery and Olive Farm has embodied the Cilento landscape within which it
nestles, infusing its wines with the essence of region’s local culture and tradition.
